[...] The exhibition architect Bernhard Denkinger reacts sensitively to the atmospheric situation. [...] The living room atmosphere created by the velvet curtains recalls not only to the “letters to a milliner” but also to the biting criticism of Wagner’s opponent, the feature writer Daniel Spitzer. The rhythmic beats of the showcases, from gentle waved phrasing to hard staccato, paraphrase an art of transition, mastered so well by Richard Wagner himself.
